The mission of the Real Estate practice group is to assist our clients in achieving their business objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. Getting the deal closed, with outstanding documentation, delivered in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost, is what our clients demand, and have come to expect. The growth of our practice group over the past five years demonstrates our ability to meet or exceed those expectations. With more than 36 lawyers who practice real estate law on a full-time basis, we have one of the largest real estate practices in the regional legal community. In addition, our experienced Real Estate Tax Assessment practice attorneys handle real estate tax appeals for all types of properties and can provide a variety of related services.

The real estate business continues to be based in large part on relationships, and our ties with community and political leaders within the St. Louis region have benefited our clients and their projects. Lawyers in our Firm serve on more than 100 national and regional community and not-for-profit organizations, and the resulting network of relationships routinely furthers the interests of our clients.

Our strong ties to St. Louis have not precluded development of a national real estate practice. In the past five years alone we have represented clients in transactions involving commercial, industrial and multi-family properties in more than 38 states, valued into the billions of dollars.

To achieve our clients' objectives, we take full advantage of the Firm's breadth of related practice areas and consult as appropriate with lawyers in the public finance, tax, environmental, securities, bankruptcy and litigation practice groups.
