Multijurisdictional Issues Stateside and International Privacy Concerns When Traveling

Webinar

When legal issues with footprints in many jurisdictions need to be resolved, attorneys need a roadmap and a checklist to plan their strategy. This webinar will cover current rules and issues/mishaps, and the consequences for those actions when providing legal services in those jurisdictions where the attorney is not a member of that state’s bar. The speaker will address the need to have a plan to include a checklist of ‘what to do in advance’. The speaker will also address confidentiality and privilege issues when traveling overseas and when returning. How do you handle confidential and privileged material stored on your laptop or other device when customs decides they want to see the device?  How do you handle personal data on clients stored on your device as you travel back to the US from jurisdictions with greater legal protection for Personal Identifiable Information?
