Adrienne Clair, Matt Rudolphi Recognized in Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers

Thompson Coburn partners Adrienne Clair and Matt Rudolphi were named to the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers list. The annual list highlights top law professionals in nuclear energy to pipeline regulation, renewables to mining.

Lawdragon’s fourth edition of this list emphasizes that “there’s a remarkable confluence of those who work throughout the strata of energy – nuclear, wind, solar, hydropower and of course good old oil and gas.”

Adrienne, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, represents clients in electric and natural gas pipeline matters and counsels on compliance and enforcement. She has litigated numerous proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including electric cooperative wholesale power contract and rate design issues, reactive power revenue requirements, mergers, and transmission formula rate and cost recovery matters. Her energy practice is highly ranked in numerous publications including Chambers USA.

Matt helps cooperative and municipal electric utilities and regulated pipeline clients across the country navigate federal and state regulatory matters, market structure issues and appeals of regulatory decisions to the U.S. Courts of Appeals. He advises clients on electric, natural gas and oil regulatory matters before FERC, state commissions and the federal courts. Based in the firm’s Chicago and D.C. offices, Matt is a past president and board member of the 2,000-member Energy Bar Association.
