Mark Sableman Receives BAMSL Spirit of Innovation Award

Thompson Coburn partner Mark Sableman was recently honored with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) Spirit of Innovation Award, reported by Missouri Lawyers Media.

According to the article, Mark received the St. Louis Legal Practitioner Award in recognition of his dedicated work safeguarding the intellectual property rights of St. Louis innovators. The awards ceremony, attended by approximately fifty attorneys, innovators, and community members, was held at the Thompson Coburn offices.

The publication quoted Mark upon accepting the award, “I feel very privileged to be able to — for 47 years — to represent creative and innovative people in the media and the arts and business. And I think, listening to the other recipients, it just gives you pride to be in the IP community that’s helping brilliant people like this.”

Following the awards ceremony, BAMSL hosted a panel discussion exploring strategies for effectively protecting and nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship within the St. Louis region.

The panel featured Thompson Coburn partner Alan Norman, Arch Grants leader Gabe Angieri, Washington University Law Professor Michelle Gross, St. Louis innovator Mike Saigh, and Hilgers Graben partner Jonathan Musch.
