Thompson Coburn partners Adrienne Clair and Matt Rudolphi were recognized in the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers list, which highlights top law professionals in nuclear energy to pipeline regulation, renewables to mining.
“The Energy 500 reflects the historic strength of a handful of firms in this area, as well as the incursions the global powerhouses have made establishing Energy as a mainstay of their practices,” the publication states.
Adrienne, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, represents clients in electric and natural gas pipeline matters and counsels on compliance and enforcement. She has litigated numerous proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including electric cooperative wholesale power contract and rate design issues, reactive power revenue requirements, mergers, and transmission formula rate and cost recovery matters. Her energy practice is highly ranked in numerous publications including Chambers USA.
Matt helps cooperative and municipal electric utilities and regulated pipeline clients across the country navigate federal and state regulatory matters, market structure issues and appeals of regulatory decisions to the U.S. Courts of Appeals. He advises clients on electric, natural gas and oil regulatory matters before FERC, state commissions and the federal courts. Based in the firm’s Chicago and D.C. offices, Matt is a past president and board member of the 2,000-member Energy Bar Association.
