Thompson Coburn partner Katie Clark was recognized in the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers list. The rankings highlight top law professionals who help companies, financiers, suppliers and everyone impacted "when companies go bust, need to transition or work through difficulties."
“These are the lawyers who can make all the difference for a business, debtor or creditor and have done so time and time again. They reflect the move away from the more extreme boom and bust cycles of bankruptcy practice to a more sustained reality of leverage as a financial tool – wanted or not – throughout economic cycles in a global economy,” the publication states.
Katie, based in the firm’s Dallas office, represents clients before bankruptcy courts, federal and state trial courts, arbitration panels and appellate courts nationwide. She routinely handles bankruptcy and insolvency litigation, including the representation of debtors, banks, court-appointed fiduciaries, and creditors in Chapter 11, 7, 15, and 13 bankruptcies. Katie has broad commercial litigation experience related to troubled and insolvent businesses and has helped clients navigate insolvency matters involving billions of dollars in liabilities.
