In Law360’s 2024 Glass Ceiling Report, Thompson Coburn was among the top 10 law firms of 251-600 attorneys with the highest percentage of women equity partners. With women making up 31.9% of our equity partners, Thompson Coburn was listed at No. 6 on the publication’s “Ceiling Smashers” list of midsize law firms.
“Thompson Coburn is proud to be among the top 10 law firms in Law360's Glass Ceiling Report. This recognition is a direct result of our ongoing efforts to promote gender equality, create a more equitable legal profession, and empower women at every level,” said Katriina McGuire, chair of Thompson Coburn's Women's Initiative Steering Committee.
As in previous years, the ranking employs a pipeline score methodology that compares firms' progress in hiring, promoting, and retaining female attorneys to industry benchmarks. “Despite the broader industry challenges, the firms that made it onto Law360 Pulse's Ceiling Smashers list are demonstrating that strides towards gender parity in the upper ranks are possible,” the publication states.
Thompson Coburn made the top 10 in 2023 as well but has risen in the ranks since then, up from No. 9 a year ago.
