April Kirkley draws on her first-hand experience as a health care administrator to assist health care clients with transactional, regulatory and compliance matters.

She advises clients on provider contracting and day-to-day compliance program matters. She also assists with conducting compliance audits and investigations, responding to government investigations, structuring business arrangements in compliance with Stark and Anti-Kickback laws, and negotiating acquisitions involving hospitals and physician practices.

During her seven years at the Veterans Health Administration, April managed day-to-day issues such as patient wellness, staffing challenges, financial hurdles, and privacy concerns. She also launched new internal programs including an inpatient dialysis unit and a progressive care unit, as well as developed physician productivity reports and led system redesigns to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
