Ariele Strauss Clinton works closely with major U.S. and international financial institutions on financing across a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions.
Ariele has extensive experience assisting most of the important banks and other institutional lenders in the U.S. and abroad, as well as hedge funds and private equity firms, on secured commercial lending transactions. Her experience stretches across a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisition finance, asset-based loans, cash-flow loans, refinancing and debt restructurings, and merchant cash advance warehouse facilities. She also advises clients on distressed loan workouts and debtor-in-possession loans.
Ariele especially enjoys cross-border deals, where she often counsels and represents overseas financial institutions or U.S. lenders with foreign subsidiaries or parent companies. She finds working closely with local counsel in such countries as Australia, Canada, Netherlands and elsewhere rewarding, as she learns more about their laws and practices while helping make deals successful in terms of both New York laws and those of other countries.
Clients appreciate Ariele’s practical approach that seeks compromise rather than confrontation. They also know that she always has their best interests front and center. With clients she’s worked with for many years, Ariele has learned what’s important to their institutions and them personally. And she finds working with financial institutions to be collegial and even fun. When all sides of a transaction benefit and are happy, Ariele calls that a successful outcome.

I live in Manhattan, so when it’s a beautiful weekend, I like heading out with my husband and son to either Central Park or the Bronx Zoo. And, when I have the chance, I always love going to a Broadway show.
