Brittney is an effective advocate for her clients in complex business disputes – implementing creative litigation strategies to help her clients achieve favorable outcomes.
Brittney understands that an effective litigator both manages the dispute at hand and leverages her legal knowledge to put the client in a stronger position to manage risk and exposure in the future. Brittney executes these objectives by navigating the key facts underlying the dispute and how they could impact the client's long-term business goals and mission.
Brittney's background includes an almost 10-year career spent in both mid-size and boutique litigation practices, which has given her the privilege of representing business clients of varying sizes, maturities and across a number of industries. Brittney has represented clients in disputes concerning business torts, intellectual property matters, employment matters and constitutional challenges. She also has experience pursuing and defending requests for emergency injunctive relief in state and federal courts.
Her clients appreciate her ability to execute creative strategies to resolve their business issues and provide sound legal advice. Brittney has an aptitude for engaging with her clients so that she can understand the nature and scope of the issues, in order to help clients realize effective outcomes in the short and long terms.
Brittney recently relocated back to her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri from Austin, Texas, where she practiced law for over 7 years. She maintains her Texas ties, working closely with Thompson Coburn's Dallas office in addition to litigating in St. Louis.
Brittney attended Emory University and obtained her BBA from the renowned Goizueta Business School. She attended Washington University in St. Louis for law school, where she graduated cum laude.
