Nationally recognized for his M&A transactional experience, Fred is Co-Chair of the Firm's Corporate and Securities Practice Group.
Fred is a skilled corporate transactional attorney focused on providing practical, solution-oriented advice to his clients. In working with a client on complex transactional matters, he seeks first to understand his client's goals thoroughly, and he structures his advice to the client with the knowledge that his job is to help the client achieve those goals while appropriately managing risk. Moreover, Fred draws on his unique background as a CFA® charterholder to combine extensive finance and valuation expertise with his legal skills.
With more than 20 years of experience, Fred focuses on various areas of corporate and transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, commercial law and general corporate representation. Fred has worked with a wide range of clients ranging from small family-owned businesses to Fortune 100 companies, and his clients represent a broad range of industries including chemicals, packaging, energy, heavy industry and consumer products. He has successfully represented clients in transactions ranging in size from a few million dollars to several billion dollars.
Fred is also active in the St. Louis community and serves on the Board of the Missouri Historical Society, a 150 year-old, non-profit organization that operates the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis' historic Forest Park. Fred also serves on the Board of Directors of CFA Society of St. Louis.
