Gabriel Evelyn assists with the drafting and reviewing of probate, trust, guardianship, estate planning, and estate administration documents, including but not limited to trusts, wills, accountings, business records, other related financial documents, and court-related filings. He also assists with estate document signings whether as a witness or as a licensed notary public in the state of Illinois.
Gabriel uses his knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and investigative abilities to not only discover information but also create innovative and efficient solutions. Before joining Thompson Coburn, he was as a paralegal at another Chicago-based law firm that focused on estate planning, estate administration, guardianships, premarital agreements, and probate litigation. He also worked as a legal assistant with the trusts and estates, litigation, tax, corporate, commercial and public finance, and real estate practices at another large firm.
Gabriel is a founding member and a director-at-large of the Chicago Paralegal Association (CPA). Outside of work, he performs as a singer-songwriter and choir member throughout the Chicagoland area, manages a social media platform called “Umami Memories: Savoring, Story, Song, & Soul,” and promotes the cultural history of his ancestral country of Panamá.
