Jeff Zawadzki brings two decades of experience in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency law to his practice, representing clients across diverse industries and sectors in large and small bankruptcies across the United States.

Jeff concentrates his practice on corporate reorganization, restructuring and liquidation matters, and related litigation. He regularly represents debtors, creditors’ committees, secured and unsecured creditors, liquidation and litigation trustees, and purchasers of distressed assets. His significant experience in complex matters allows him to approach problems with practical-minded and business-oriented solutions, ultimately helping clients navigate difficult situations.

Jeff has served as creditors’ committee counsel in many of the country’s largest subprime mortgage bankruptcies, such as American Home Mortgage Corp. and New Century TRS Holdings, Inc., as well as in many other notable bankruptcies including Furniture Brands, Inc., Gymboree Corporation, Lucky’s Market Parent Company LLC, MPC Computers, Inc., Musicland Holdings Corp. and Pillowtex Corporation.

He has represented committees and other parties in interest in a variety of restructuring matters including debtor in possession financing, use of cash collateral, relief from the automatic stay, section 363 asset sales, claims litigation, prosecution and defense of avoidance actions, and plan negotiation and confirmation.

Jeff also represents financial institutions, corporations, fiduciaries and individuals in a variety of state and federal court actions outside of the bankruptcy context. These representations focus on complex commercial litigation including breach of contract claims, business torts and judgment enforcement.
