John is an associate in the Firm's Corporate and Securities group.
John supports a wide variety of clients with corporate and securities matters. He provides guidance on corporate governance, SEC filings and transactional matters including documentation for mergers and acquisitions and related due diligence. Additionally, John assists with researching corporate and transactional legal issues on time sensitive matters.
John is also licensed as a C.P.A. in Missouri. Prior to law school, John worked for a large international accounting firm where he developed extensive corporate experience designing and performing SOX integrated audits of financial statements and internal control over financial reporting. John leverages his business and accounting experience, including exposure to numerous industries, in delivering legal solutions and advice.
John earned a J.D. from the Washington University School of Law with a Certificate in Business & Corporate Law. While in law school John completed internships for the United States Securities & Exchange Commission and Anheuser-Busch InBev. At the University of Missouri-Columbia, John earned a master's degree in Accountancy and a B.S. in Accounting, earning summa cum laude honors.
