Joseph is a commercial litigator in the Firm's Los Angeles office.
Prior to joining Thompson Coburn, Joseph worked for a commercial litigation and professional liability boutique. In that role, he guided a diverse range of clients through all phases of civil matters. Joseph has experience drafting and arguing a comprehensive array of motions, designing effective discovery, and efficiently resolving disputes prior to formal proceedings.
Before entering private practice, Joseph clerked for the Hon. Stuart M. Rice of the Los Angeles Superior Court. He also served in the court's Coverage Department, where he drafted tentative rulings for over 30 independent calendar judges. In 2020, Joseph was appointed to a pioneer taskforce established to provide California courts with guidance on legal and constitutional issues introduced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Joseph was an Erasmus Programme scholar, and earned his LL.B., magna cum laude, from the Université Toulouse Capitole, France, and the University of Nottingham, UK. He earned his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where he was senior articles editor for The Journal of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. During law school, Joseph was selected for the American Bar Association's Janet D. Steiger Fellowship Project.
