Kurt Reitz is a trial lawyer who defends clients in personal injury and property damage litigation, including FELA, trucking, product liability, class action, and mass tort litigation.
Kurt handles FELA cases for Norfolk Southern Railway Company, Illinois Central Railroad, CSX and BNSF, including trial and appellate work in the state and federal courts. Kurt also handles trucking and product liability cases for Schneider National Carriers, Inc., TForce, FK6 91, and others.
Clients feel confident when working with Kurt in part because he has substantial trial and appellate proceeding experience. He briefs and argues cases in the Illinois state appellate courts and the Illinois Supreme Court and in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. He has briefed three cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.
With compelling knowledge to share, Kurt is the long-standing author of Chapter 3 of Pleadings and Motions of Illinois Products Liability and is responsible for the yearly supplement. His experience in products liability includes trial and appellate work in state and federal courts. Kurt is a fellow in the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers.
