Focusing on financial restructuring, Mark Bossi consults with lenders on bankruptcies, distressed credit issues, and out-of-court workouts. He also represents creditors and creditors’ committees, bondholders, receivers, asset purchasers, and financially distressed companies in insolvency cases. Although national in scope, his full-spectrum bankruptcy practice centers on organizations with operations in the Midwest.
As the recipient of numerous honors and distinctions, Mark combines in-depth business acumen with formidable legal skills, crafting effective strategies that protect clients’ bottom lines and advance their commercial goals. He often orchestrates collaborations where lender clients and borrowers produce solutions to financial upheavals. These may include working to get the borrower through difficult times and back into a solvent status, crafting credit exit plans that involve pressuring the borrower to refinance with another institution, or engaging in other legal actions.
Beyond the traditional lender-borrower loan issues, he handles cases involving tax subsidies such as the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) or the Historic Tax Credit (HTC). The complex financing structures inherent in these kinds of deals require him to address each one with creative thinking.
Mark builds strong relationships with clients that enable him to better assist them in solving their problems and accomplishing their objectives. He pays close attention while never losing sight of the larger context of each decision. Working efficiently, he fashions practical, tailor-made responses to each set of unique circumstances.
