With over 20 years of experience representing borrowers, lenders, owners, and developers as in-house and outside counsel, Simran Bindra brings a practical business approach to his commercial finance and real estate practice.
Simran has real-world experience and offers practical solutions to difficult issues. This ability is honed from Simran’s 360-degree perspective, having served as external counsel at AmLaw 100 law firms as well as in-house counsel for commercial lenders and property owners. This allows Simran to be able to anticipate multiple outcomes from events and offer perspectives clients may not have considered. Equally important, Simran’s experience on all sides of the table helps maintain the kind of collegiality among all parties that builds trust and enables completion of difficult transactions.
Simran’s experience has been on all sides of transactions at all stages of the real estate life cycle. Whether an acquisition, financing or disposition, Simran has seen it from both an owner and lender perspective. Having served as general counsel to both an owner and developer of real estate assets as well as to the specialty-finance arm for Capital One, N.A., Simran has also attained expertise in specialty areas such as construction, hospitality and senior living transactions. Simran also represents lenders in mortgage warehouse and mortgage servicing rights financings, including financings involving servicing contract rights granted by federal agencies.
