In her diverse commercial finance practice, Vicky Gilbert advises clients on an array of transactions and investments, including cross-border deals. She brings almost four decades of experience and broad and deep knowledge to her representations of domestic and overseas financial institutions, investors, borrowers, developers, private banking clients, and insurance companies. Always remaining flexible, Vicky efficiently shepherds clients to closing so they can move forward with their projects and plans.

Vicky’s clients rely on her counsel in derivative contracts and in large, syndicated facility, private equity, private banking, securities backed, margin, acquisition and equipment loans. She also handles transactions involving joint ventures, workouts, mezzanine financing, recapitalizations, revolving credit facilities, forward purchases and other structures.

Vicky particularly enjoys advising developers and lenders on financing and credit-support arrangements for large public-private partnership projects. Additionally, she counsels lenders in sports franchise financings for major and minor league teams and advises high-net-worth individuals in various credit arrangements.

Taking a straightforward, honest and practical approach, Vicky performs thorough and detail-oriented analyses of deals and informs her clients of any issues she’s identified so they can make highly informed decisions. She then drafts precise, crystal-clear contracts that allocate risks wisely and are understandable to non-lawyers.

With an open mind and a love of learning new things, Vicky stays updated with developments in business, technology, government, and other arenas so she can best help her clients avoid pitfalls and take advantage of opportunities.
