Thompson Coburn invests in summer associates through hands-on training and a thoughtful mentorship program.
Summer Associate Training
The summer associate program kicks off with orientation in local offices. In addition, summer associates gather for weekly meetings to discuss assignments and ask questions.
All summer associates also participate in a mock trial in our St. Louis office and are welcome to attend any CLE programs hosted by the firm.
Summer Associates Mentorship and Feedback
Each summer associate is paired with both an associate and a partner who serves on the firm’s Employment Committee. Associates are welcome to develop mentor relationships with other attorneys at the firm on an informal or formal basis. All summer associates will participate in a mid-summer evaluation of their work, led by a Thompson Coburn partner.
