I am happy to announce that our popular Thompson Coburn Sweepstakes Creator program has been updated to make it even easier for sponsors to describe their plans for sweepstakes and contests so that we can prepare draft official rules for them quickly and efficiently.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the Sweepstakes Creator, it is a program that is available on the Thompson Coburn website at https://sweepstakes.thompsoncoburn.com. The Creator was introduced in 2011 and has been used by a large number of clients for many different types of promotions since that time.
The Creator guides sponsors through 20 questions that gather details about the promotion that the sponsor is planning. The answers to these questions allow us to analyze what the sponsor has in mind and prepare the draft documents that are necessary for implementing a sweepstakes or contest. The 20 questions also help sponsors ensure they have thought about all of the major elements of their promotion. Most clients who complete the questions receive the first draft of their official rules within 24 hours.
The Creator is designed primarily for clients of Thompson Coburn. Because of attorneys’ ethical rules, if someone using the Creator is not a client we cannot provide them with any legal advice. When those persons submit a questionnaire, we call them to see if they are interested in becoming a client.
Let us know what you think about the new format for the Creator and as always, do not hesitate to contact us if you have a question about a sweepstakes or contest.
