Cassandra is a member of the Tort Team and focuses on complex legal issues related to toxic tort, asbestos, the railroad industry and Federal Employers' Liability Act claims. She brings a wealth of experience and insight gained from her time as a Judicial Law Clerk at the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia, in Richmond, Virginia, prior to joining the firm. During her clerkship, Cassandra gained valuable experience researching complex legal issues and drafting opinions and orders for two judges.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Maryville University of St. Louis, and her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law. While in law school she served as a Lead Articles Editor of the Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, a Martin P. Burks Scholar as a Teaching Assistant for first-year Legal Research courses, an Appellate Advocacy Competition Chair on the Moot Court Executive Board, and worked as a research assistant. Cassandra also completed a judicial internship at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, and an externship with a Virginia-based law firm.
