Thompson Coburn has a very active Associates Committee that assists with the orientation and integration of associates into the Firm; serves as a forum for discussion of issues affecting associates; communicates with associates about Firm matters and policies; and serves as an additional conduit to Firm management for associates’ questions, suggestions and concerns. Topics of discussion have included Firm mentoring programs, technology and support service initiatives, family-friendly work policies, associate reviews, salary and benefits, and training and development.
The committee meets monthly and is led by partners in our Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Washington D.C. offices in conjunction with the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Chief Diversity & Attorney Development Officer. Selection of associates to the committee is generally conducted on a random basis, although the committee is structured to include at least two representatives from each associate class and includes representatives from each of the Firm‘s offices. Committee members serve on the Associates Committee for two year terms.
