Amanda is an associate in the Firm's private client and tax practices.
Amanda comes to Thompson Coburn from the Circuit Court of Cook County, Probate Division, where she worked as a staff attorney. She drafted over 55 published decisions, responded to litigant and attorney inquiries and conducted legal research. During her 1L summer, she also interned with the Judge Advocate of the U.S. Air Force in Georgia where she researched and drafted opinions and motions.
In addition to being licensed as an attorney in Illinois and New York, Amanda is also a licensed C.P.A. previously employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Private Financial Services group. She prepared individual, partnership, Foundation and fiduciary income tax returns. During law school, she continued preparing tax returns for PwC on a seasonal basis.
Amanda earned her B.B.A. from Loyola University Chicago, her M.S.A. from Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business, her J.D. with a tax certificate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and her LL.M. in tax law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While attending Loyola, Amanda served as a clinician for Federal Tax Clinic and Veterans Practicum, participated in Moot Court in both her 2L and 3L years, and was the business and finance director for Moot Court.
