Partner Larry Katzenstein’s work creating the Tiger Tables software platform for calculating actuarial values, estate and gift taxes, and other figures was highlighted in a St. Louis Business Journal feature published March 6.
Katzenstein, a nationally recognized authority on estate planning and planned giving, first developed the software in the late 1980s and has continued updating and selling it to this day. Although he considers computer programming a hobby, the article noted, he has also made a business out of Tiger Tables, selling it to thousands of customers nationwide.
“He has sold the program to certified public accountants, fellow tax attorneys and a few state revenue departments across the country, and it’s well known in those niche communities,” the Business Journal report said.
