Mike focuses his legal practice on public finance, corporate law, business transactions, governmental and nonprofit law.
Mike served as the long-time chair of the Firm's Public Finance and Public Law department and of the Firm's Corporate department. Mike served for many years on the Firm's Executive Committee.
In 2012 Mike was named Best Lawyers® St. Louis Corporate Law Lawyer of the Year (by BL Rankings) and in 2013, 2019, and 2025 he was named Best Lawyers® St. Louis Public Finance Law Lawyer of the Year (by BL Rankings).
