Higher education institutions are being bombarded with cyberattacks. Denial of service, data breaches, and insider threats are prevalent, but ransomware has become an especially big problem. In addition to significant reputational and financial risks, there may be legal, regulatory and contractual pitfalls that must be navigated in the response to a ransomware incident.
Join Jim Shreve and Katie Wendel as they discuss trends in higher education ransomware, issues in responding to attacks and concrete steps to help prevent or mitigate ransomware attacks. We will highlight legal and regulatory requirements at the federal and state level and discuss important strategic considerations to address before an incident occurs.
