Employee Benefits attorneys Mike Lane and Amy Stansfield will provide an update on significant employee benefits developments over the past year and the practical implications such developments have for employers. We will begin with an overview on guidance from the Internal Revenue Service on SECURE 2.0 provisions. Next, we will review guidance from the tri-agencies on mental health parity, surprise billing, short-term limited duration health insurance and fixed indemnity plans. Finally, we will provide a summary on significant litigation in the employee benefits area, including the recent Lewandowski v. Johnson & Johnson case.
