BTI Consulting, the country’s leading provider of strategic research to law firms and general counsel, has selected Thompson Coburn as one of the top 13 firms in the nation at providing exceptional value to clients.
“In a market getting more demanding by the month, if you can be at the top of your client service game, that really speaks to how well you handle resources for your client,” said BTI President Michael Rynowecer.
BTI compiled the list during its annual Client Service A-Team 2013 survey of more than 240 corporate counsel around the country. As part of the survey, researchers walked in-house counsel through a list of 17 activities that drive superior client service — including legal skills, responsiveness, and breadth of services — and asked them to name, unsolicited, the law firm that tops all others in each category. The 13 firms that appear in the “Providing Value for the Dollar” category were the ones most corporate counsel identified as delivering the best value for the dollar.
“It is our highest priority to provide our clients with top-notch legal services that bring real value to their businesses,” said Thompson Coburn Chairman Tom Minogue. “We deliver that value by getting to know our clients’ business objectives, supporting them with comprehensive legal services, and providing critical insights on the issues they face every day.”
“As companies continue to adapt in our changing economy, we know how important this is to them,” Minogue said. “Value for the dollar really counts.”
BTI’s report said the firms on this list add value for their clients by exceeding expectations, recommending clear decisions on complex issues, offering extensive research and background materials on regulatory issues, and keeping a client constantly aware of the company's legal risk profile.
The 13 firms leading the “Providing Value for the Dollar” category include Faegre Baker Daniels, Foley & Lardner, Holland & Knight, Jackson Lewis, K&L Gates, Mayer Brown, McGuireWoods, Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart, Pepper Hamilton LLP, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Thompson Coburn, Thompson Hine, and Vedder Price.
