Chicago litigation partner Rob Lang has joined the board of directors of the Chicago and Northwest Indiana chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities for a three-year term starting Jan. 1, 2014. Local sportscaster Mark Giangreco will be one of a handful of Rob’s fellow new appointees, along with several other Chicago-area executives.
The charity, which has chapters across the globe, provides accommodations and a supportive environment for families of hospitalized children. Ronald McDonald Houses are located near children’s hospitals and offer private rooms so that families can rest and get a good night’s sleep with their child nearby. Additionally, the houses give families the opportunity to connect with others going through similar experiences. The charity is funded by individual and corporate donations.
There are more than 300 Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide. Four are in the Chicago area, and one more is set for groundbreaking this year.
