Tom Schlafly, a Thompson Coburn partner and co-founder of the St. Louis Brewery, will be a featured presenter during the University of Missouri St. Louis’ Research & Innovation Week. The event, scheduled for April 21–25, features presentations on entrepreneurship, technology, careers in technology and industry trends.
Tom’s presentation, "Lawyer as Entrepreneur: The Story of Schlafly Beer," will be included in a program focused on faculty researchers who have taken an entrepreneurial role in launching startups. One of St. Louis’ most well-known entrepreneurs, Tom will discuss his experiences in launching the brewery and give insights to others considering their own ventures. Tom’s presentation is scheduled for 4:30 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, in the UMSL Millennium Student Center on the UMSL campus.
