Tom Minogue has been appointed by Tom George, the Chancellor of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, to serve as chairman of the Chancellor’s Council of the University. The group is an advisory board of 50 civic and community leaders that counsel the Chancellor on issues of strategic, financial and legislative importance to the University. UMSL is the largest university in St. Louis with over 17,000 students. And with more than 60,000 graduates who work in the St. Louis area, it is also the largest source of new college graduates for area employers.
Tom is the first attorney to serve as chairman of the council, which has been led in the past by senior executives from BJC Healthcare and Peabody Energy and includes among its members the chief executives of Ameren, Express Scripts and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Tom’s term runs from January 2015 through the end of 2017. Tom served as the keynote speaker at the University’s 50th anniversary jubilee. He and his wife Becky are graduates of the University and proud supporters of their alma mater.
