Thompson Coburn is proud to announce that Julie Logan has joined the Firm as Director of Associate Recruiting & Legal Support Services. Julie, who will be based in the Firm’s St. Louis office, joins Thompson Coburn from Newmeyer & Dillion, LLP, where she served as the Director of Human Resources.
As Thompson Coburn's Director of Associate Recruiting and Legal Support Services, Julie is responsible for managing the Firm's associate recruiting efforts, including the annual summer associate program, and providing guidance and leadership to the Firm's paralegals, legal support staff and other administrative support teams.
“Julie has accumulated a wealth of human resource experience from her professional roles with law firms,” says Thompson Coburn’s Chief Operating Officer, Roger Flower. “In her new role here at Thompson Coburn Julie will help enhance our associate recruiting programs and work with members of our leadership team to help optimize the vital role that all of our legal support personnel play in our client service delivery model.”
Before joining Thompson Coburn, Julie served in director-level HR positions at three large national and regional law firms, including Husch Blackwell and Lathrop Gage. Throughout her career, Julie has pioneered innovative programs that enhance employee engagement through process improvement, maximize talent acquisition, and increase opportunities for professional development. Firm management and administrators have looked to Julie to design and drive forward-thinking initiatives that project employment needs and establish staffing models that align with firm strategies.
Julie has led frequent trainings on legal process management and legal lean process improvement. She is a recognized leader in the human resources community and is the 2019-2020 President of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) – Gateway Chapter.
Julie earned a B.A from William Jewell College. She is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as certified by the HR Certification Institute.
