Partner Kurt Reitz has been admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers, a professional association of attorneys from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship. Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.
Kurt, the managing partner of Thompson Coburn’s Belleville office, has extensive experience in the defense of personal injury and property damage litigation including FELA, trucking, product liability, class action and mass tort litigation. Kurt has argued numerous cases in the Illinois and Missouri state appellate courts and in the Illinois and Missouri Supreme Courts. He has also argued cases in the United State Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits.
