Thompson Coburn health care partner Evan Goldfarb was featured in a recent ALM
Corporate Counsel Q&A highlighting honorees at this year’s Women, Influence
& Power in Law event. She discussed her route to a leadership role in law,
what she wishes she had known when she started in the legal profession, and the
best leadership advice she has received.
"I believe my
‘route to the top’ resulted from my diligence and commitment to providing high
quality and responsive work product both with respect to my billable activities
for clients and my non-billable activities for the firm,” she said. She also
noted leadership advice she received from her mentor Jim Gunn: “Jim had an
uncanny ability to develop strong and genuine personal and professional
relationships with his firm colleagues and with his clients. Hearing Jim’s
views on the importance of these relationships and observing the success he
achieved as a result of these relationships has always served as an inspiration
to me.”
The Q&A followed Evan’s recognition as a 2023
Women, Influence & Power in Law Award winner. In October, Evan received the award at ALM’s Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL)
conference in New Orleans. She was recognized in the Collaborative Leadership
category.
Evan co-chairs Thompson Coburn's Corporate Department and serves
on the Management and Executive Committees. She is a trusted advisor to
hospitals, health care systems, long-term care facilities, health plans,
physicians, and other businesses in the health care industry.
