Mark represents clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including the energy, telecommunications and financial services sectors.
He handles a variety of complex commercial matters for his clients. Some examples of his work include defending a class action alleging a general partner breached its contractual and fiduciary duties during the sale of partnership assets valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars, prosecuting a claim for tens of millions of dollars for the breach of a coal supply contract, and conducting an internal investigation as to compliance with state and federal law during the contracting process with a large municipality. Although Mark is an experienced advocate in sophisticated, high-dollar disputes, he is equally adept at applying the appropriate level of resources to ensure the efficient and successful resolution of smaller matters.
Practicing in the firm's Business Litigation and Securities and Investment Litigation service areas, Mark has represented clients in federal and state courts across the country at both the trial and appellate level. He has also arbitrated before the American Arbitration Association.
Before joining the firm, Mark served in the United States Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps. In addition to advising senior military commanders on a wide range of legal issues, he tried numerous criminal matters before both military juries and judges.
