Mary Lemersal is a senior paralegal in the Firm's Real Estate Tax Assessment practice.
Mary prepares and submits appeals along with all supporting evidence to the Cook County Assessor, the Cook County Board of Review and the State of Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board on behalf of the many clients she services. Mary's experience includes researching and evaluating single-family homes, multi-family residential properties, apartment complexes, condominiums and income-producing as well as owner-occupied commercial and industrial properties. Mary has also been successful working on various hotels throughout Chicago and its surrounding suburbs.
Mary works with each client directly, either the property owners themselves or their Authorized Agents, to request the most recent documentation necessary to ensure the best outcome in reducing their tax burdens. Mary also works with several Condominium and Townhome Association Board Members and Management Companies to obtain recent and/or upcoming sale information in order to analyze their Association's value as a whole. Mary collaborates with all of her co-workers in order to maintain the RETA Department's continued success.
