Patricia is a senior paralegal in the Business Litigation practice area. She has worked at Thompson Coburn for more than 20 years in the areas of business litigation, product liability litigation and intellectual property litigation. She is knowledgeable in all phases of the litigation process at the state and federal court levels and has experience on matters ranging from single-plaintiff to large complex commercial litigation. She manages cases from initial investigation through large-scale document production, pretrial preparation and trial assistance. She also has extensive experience working with litigation databases and software.
Patricia's experience includes managing the paralegal work flow for top Firm clients. As a paralegal she has assisted counsel in:
Served as lead paralegal in a case involving 37 plaintiffs tried before a jury in the Circuit Court for the city of St. Louis. Thompson Coburn secured a defense verdict in favor of their client.
Assisted at trial in an intellectual property case tried before a jury in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Thompson Coburn secured a plaintiff verdict in favor of their client.
Worked closely with jury consultants to prepare case presentations for jury research involving focus groups and mock trials.
Assisted counsel with preparing appellate and United States Supreme Court briefs for filing.
In 2022, Patricia received the St. Louis Paralegal Association's Legend Award which recognizes a paralegal who not only represents outstanding professional success, but also displays initiative beyond typical job duties and demonstrates how this expanded role is a value-add to the Firm.
