As more states begin the process to license cultivators and processors of industrial hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp and its derivatives are entering the public eye and the markets. Our webinar on federal and select state industrial hemp regulations will provide an overview of the state of the law with respect to industrial hemp in the United States.

The 60-minute webinar will cover the following:

• The definition of “industrial hemp” under federal laws, including the Controlled Substances Act and the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills and the importance of these legal definitions.
• The status of state and federal implementation of regulations under the 2018 Farm Bill.
• Analysis of select portions of U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Interim Final Rule as it pertains to inspections, testing and penalties.
• Variations among state laws regarding cultivation and processing.
