DOCUMENT RETENTION AND PREVENTATIVE PRACTICES

We help clients minimize the cost and effort associated with e-discovery by implementing effective ESI management and retention policies.

We understand that there is no “one size fits all” document retention program, so we work with clients to assess current document retention systems and then tailor our approach for each client. We then identify applicable statutory and regulatory requirements for the retention of data. With these tools in hand, we work with clients to develop standing policies for data preservation, document retention/destruction and e-mail usage policies. We also counsel clients on privacy and security issues.

Because e-discovery obligations arise even before a lawsuit is filed, we work with clients to draft, issue and maintain litigation hold notices, identify custodians and gather documents for review.
